warehouse project. day.

this year i began working for the warehouse project.
this is an event which takes place each year over four months, its a club in which hundreds of different djs & artists play each week.
as part of my job with warehosue & tillate i took photos.
i kept finding myself taking photos of crowds, trying to capture the lively atmosphere. the people & the music.

going back to the same place during the day, i find a car park. the quiet, mundane life that the people around do not know of any different.
i photograhed the car park, recorded how i felt within each room.
the difference between the night& day was amazing. so i tried to capture the bleakness of the day& include some of the cars.

Rafael Lozano-Hemmer

Recorders is a major new exhibition by Mexican-Canadian electronic artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer. i went to view this at manchester city art gallery.
The artworks in Recorders see, hear and feel the actions of people around them, using technology to create a playful yet ominous experience. This solo exhibition features seven recent pieces by the artist, including the world premieres of two specially commissioned new installations.

im not overly keen on technology as art but i really liked the pulse room with all the lightbulbs

adnan bayyat

Adnan Bayyat, an erstwhile student of classical music, became a publicly acclaimed designer in 2009 by creating the ostensibly intangible; an installation of conceptual ‘Art’ and several seasonal displays for The Triangle shopping centre in Manchester.
Renowned for his avant-garde approach to fashion and versatility in applying himself to many self-taught disciplines, Adnan has continued to provide to audiences nationwide profound perceptions of beauty which are eloquently defined within his work.
